The Role

They are looking for a Senior / Lead Software Engineer who can code across the full stack, to join a team their 'Building Intelligence' team. In this team, the Senior / Lead Software Engineer (Fully Remote) designs, executes, tests, documents and maintains software across the company's applications and supports the architecture of such applications. This role may focus on backend development, front end development, other specialty areas, or may be focused on development across the spectrum, based on the needs of the team. As a member of the Building Intelligence team this role will be expected to develop and operate customer-facing applications and internal tools, and to collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to enhance on the in-house analytics platform and data science model implementations. Responsibilities

• Develop, test and integrate new applications and services into the company's platform
• Maintain and extend existing applications and services
• Work with Platform Architects, other Engineers, and Data Scientists on software and system optimizations, helping to identify and remove potential performance bottlenecks
• Stay up to date on relevant technologies, understand trends and opportunities to ensure we are using the best techniques and tools for the problems at hand
• Identify business opportunities/challenges and create solutions. Understand complex requirements and translate them into tangible deliverables

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Experience developing RESTful Web Services in a modern framework
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement and utilize a database for transaction process and analytics purposes
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement across the application stack
• Demonstrated ability to create unit and integration tests effectively
• Familiarity with the practices and principles of continuous integration and delivery
• Demonstrated understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and tooling, ideally in AWS
• Demonstrated ability to deliver basic user interfaces for internal stakeholders
• Experience developing in a containerized environment, ideally Kubernetes
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others in a diverse, multiethnic and multicultural work environment
• Ability to work remotely both in independent and collaborative modes

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3 or plotly
• Familiarity with Typescript, GraphQL, and React
• Experience developing in a containerized environment, ideally Kubernetes
