Senior GPU Engineer

Job Description

I'm hiring in to a Senior GPU Engineer role for a company who build products that add to the Unreal Engine ecosystem and also consult to companies in the States who are trying to increase their knowledge base & performance in Unreal.

The role will involve the following responsibilities

● You will be making modifications to Unreal Engine source code to create new functionality within the Unreal Engine

● You will be involved in discussions with team members and external stakeholders to synthesise solutions to complex problems utilising the Unreal Engine’s many RHIs and Codecs

● You will be prototyping, investigating, and documenting the bleeding edge intersection of Unreal Engine RHIs with hardware accelerated encoding and decoding (e.g. typical activities will include diving into Unreal Engine source code and playing with the latest technologies.)

Requirements

● Ideally Strong UE C++ skills

● Ideally extensive experience with Unreal Engine source code - but if you have lots of GPU API experience and no UE that's cool too.

● Ideally extensive experience with Unreal Engine RHI code ● Extensive experience of GPU APIs (D3D12, Vulkan, Metal, CUDA, Consoles, etc)

● Experience with writing and debugging multi-threaded rendering pipelines

● Experience writing high throughput Compute and Pixel shaders

● Experience with using Codec extensions of GPU APIs (Vulkan Video Extension, D3D12VideoEncoding, etc)

● Experience with developing across multiple Platforms (Win64, Linux, Android, iOS, Consoles, etc)
