Principle DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We’re looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and streaming delivery for a fast-growing technology company. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll architect high-performance systems, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation - all while mentoring teams and influencing strategic decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architecting cloud-native solutions for scalable, high-availability video streaming.
• Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feature releases
• Leading and mentoring DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of automation and reliability.
• Enhancing monitoring and observability, ensuring 99.9%+ uptime for live and on-demand content.
• Implementing security and cost-optimization strategies while maintaining top performance.
• Driving AI-powered infrastructure enhancements to improve system efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead role.
• Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and containerized deployments.
• Strong experience in video streaming technologies, CDNs, and global content delivery.
• Proven track record of scaling and optimizing cloud infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of networking, security, and real-time system performance tuning.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience implementing disaster recovery, high-availability, and failover strategies.
• Leadership mindset - someone who takes full ownership of infrastructure performance and reliability.

Location: Hybrid or remote (UK-based).
