Job Description

A leading FinTech company dedicated to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions in the payment and payroll space, are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Analyst to join their dynamic team and help them maintain and enhance the IT infrastructure.

 

This role is based in Liverpool and will operate hybrid (2/3 day split), salary is £20,000 - £30,000

 

Job Summary: As an IT Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to their internal & external users. You will ensure that IT systems and applications are running smoothly, and you will play a key role in resolving technical issues efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide first-line support for IT-related issues including hardware, software, and network problems. Respond to support requests via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity. Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.
  • User Assistance: Assist users with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of their computers, mobile devices, and peripherals. Conduct training sessions to improve user proficiency.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, network devices, and software applications. Perform regular system checks and updates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes. Create and update documentation and knowledge base articles for common issues and procedures.
  • Security: Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures. Assist in monitoring and managing security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to implement new technologies and improve existing systems. Participate in IT projects and contribute to system upgrades and deployments.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: A relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience in IT support
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar IT support role, within a small to medium organisation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications. Experience with network troubleshooting, Active Directory, and ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with IT support tools and platforms is desirable.
