What we are looking for:

We are on the lookout for an experienced Head of Engineering who:

• Can lead our technical team with expertise in Java, Swift, Kotlin, API integrations and PHP/Laravel
• Can lead our DevOps function with a focus on data security and platform stability, particularly as we scale
• Can work alongside other Company roles (Product, Compliance, Marketing) to deliver outstanding results for the Company
• Will have a strong background in developing and scaling tech solutions in a FinTech environment
• Has experience in scaling Engineering teams, and being involved in the tailoring of job descriptions, interviews, and selection processes
• Is a leader that understands the importance of aligning technology with business objectives and user needs, and can drive innovation while maintaining high standards of software development
• Has a keen interest in AI, especially on how implementing AI for internal and external purposes

What you’d be doing in this role:

• Leading and mentoring a team of Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and efficiency
• Overseeing the development, testing, and deployment of our technology stack, primarily focusing on Java, Swift, Kotlin, API integrations and PHP/Laravel
• Overseeing the scaling of our internal development resources
• Collaborating with Product Management and other departments to align engineering strategies with business goals and user requirements
• Ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our systems, and addressing any technical challenges that arise
• Driving continuous improvement in our engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, and deployment methodologies
• Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluating their potential impact on our platform and services

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and executing a long-term technology vision for KttiPay
• Building and managing a high-performing Engineering team
• Ensuring the reliability and robustness of our FinTech platform
• Improving internal infrastructure and systems
• Leading architectural decisions and technology choices
• Managing the engineering budget and resource allocation
• Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team

About you:

• Extensive experience in leading engineering teams, preferably in a FinTech startup
• Expertise in Java, Swift, Kotlin, API integrations and PHP/Laravel
• A track record of developing and scaling high-quality, and innovative software solutions
• Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
• Certifications or special training in Agile methodologies, software architecture, and team leadership are a plus
