AI/ML Engineer

Job Description

Our client, PE Limited, is a highly successful enterprise software provider on the cusp of major expansion. As they prepare to bring their expertise to new industries, they're seeking an AI/ML Engineer to integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into their existing suite of oil and gas field management software.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with PE Limited's in-house AI team and a third-party AI consultancy to implement and integrate AI solutions.

Core responsibilities include:

• Implementing ML models
• Developing integration pipelines
• Creating interfaces between existing systems and new AI components
• Ensuring robust testing and validation of AI implementations

The ideal candidate brings:

• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field with a focus on AI/ML
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one of: C++, C#, or Java
• Experience implementing and deploying ML models in production
• Comfort operating in deadline-driven environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities

Additional expertise in any of the following areas is a plus:

• ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• API development and integration
• MLOps tools and practices
• Distributed computing systems
• Oil and gas domain knowledge
• GPU development, GIS toolkits, or 3D graphics
• CI/CD tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker
