About Our Client

Our client is a forward-thinking global technology consulting firm specialising in innovative AI and machine learning solutions that drive business transformation and create growth opportunities for their customers. They are currently expanding their new AI team in Málaga to scale an exciting AI product for a leading global financial services company.

The Project

You'll be joining a dynamic team working on an innovative risk profiling solution that enhances regulatory compliance and strengthens financial security systems. This project involves advanced graph modelling and AI-driven infrastructure to optimise workflows across EMEA.

The Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join this exciting and groundbreaking project. This is an excellent opportunity for mid-level professionals looking to grow their skills and experience with graph modelling and AI whilst working with cutting-edge technologies in the fintech space. Position Details:

• Location: Hybrid working in Málaga (3 days office/2 days remote initially, with potential for fully remote after 6 months)
• Start Date: May - June 2025
• Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Employment Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement graph-based models for data analysis
• Apply data science techniques to financial datasets
• Learn and work with graph databases and query optimisation
• Assist in implementing analytical algorithms
• Create data visualisations to communicate insights
• Collaborate with team members across different disciplines
• Contribute to data quality and validation processes
• Support the development of AI-driven risk profiling solutions

Requirements

• 3 years + of experience in data science or related analytical role
• Basic knowledge of databases and willingness to learn graph-specific tools
• Experience with Python and common data analysis libraries
• Interest in learning graph algorithms and analytical techniques
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

• Any exposure to the financial services sector
• Basic understanding of data visualisation techniques
• Interest in risk analysis or regulatory compliance
• Experience with any graph database or network analysis
• Familiarity with collaborative development practices
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and analytical methods
